Bluesky users, survey 310.000 self-reported, whole population

Kantar Media put weekly Bluesky use in Norway at about 310.000 people (7% of adults), from a survey of 1.253 people on its GallupPanelet web panel, with self-reported use projected to the population. It counts everyone who says they use Bluesky, lurkers included, so it measures reach rather than accounts we can see. An opt-in web panel weighted to the population still leans toward more online people, so it probably runs a little high. Even so it lands far above the two numbers above, which makes those look conservative.

How we estimate this

AT Protocol has no country field, so we cannot count directly. We measure posting activity per language across Europe, weight each language to the countries where its speakers live, and calibrate the whole model to the Dutch figure on atproto.nl. Language only feeds the estimate; it never confirms that an account belongs to Norway.
